No New Posts THE HOG'S HEAD INN

Located a block or so off High Street, the Hog's Head Inn has been a fixture of Hogsmeade for hundreds of years. A worn-out wooden sign hangs over the door, advertising with a "wild boar's severed head leaking blood onto the white cloth around it". It's known for its cheapness, at least relative to the Three Broomsticks down the street, and attracts a "shall we say... interesting clientele," at least according to Albus Dumbledore . The bartender, for at least twenty years, has been Albus's brother, Aberforth Dumbledore

No New Posts HONEYDUKES SWEETSHOP

A sweetshop, owned by Ambrosius Flume and his wife, which is filled with "shelves upon shelves of the most succulent-looking sweets imaginable" . In addition to the standard wizarding candy that is sold there, the owners also make their own fudge and chocolate. For obvious reasons, the shop is quite a popular destination for Hogwarts students when visiting Hogsmeade on the weekends.

Down in the cellar of the shop, amidst the boxes and wooden crates and known to only a select few people, is a trap door in the dusty floor - which opens to reveal a secret passageway to Hogwarts.

No New Posts MADAM PUDDIFOOT'S

A small, cramped tea shop with decor on the tacky side of frilly (such as floating golden cherubs throwing pink confetti), located ust off High Street. The only Hogwarts students who seem to patronize the place are trysting couples.

No New Posts THE THREE BROOMSTICKS

A well-known inn and a frequent haunt of Hogwarts students. It's warm and comfortable, is packed every time, and is a great spot to drink butterbeer., although they also serve firewhisky, gillywater, mulled mead, red currant rum, and even cherry syrup and soda with ice and an umbrella. The owner of the bar is Madam Rosmerta

Board Description
HOGSMEADE VILLAGE

Hogsmeade is the only entirely wizarding village in Britain . According to tradition it was founded over a thousand years ago, around the same time as Hogwarts, by Hengist of Woodcroft as he was fleeing persecution by Muggles (fw). It's a picturesque little village of thatched cottages and shops, with enchanted candles hanging in the trees during the holidays.

As Hogsmeade is located just down the road from Hogwarts, the school and the village have always shared a special relationship. On select Saturdays throughout the school year the village is filled with Hogwarts students, who are allowed to visit beginning in their third year; some of the Hogwarts teachers, including Hagrid and Dumbledore, visit more frequently. The railway station that serves the village is actually on the other side of Hogwarts, and this is where the Hogwarts Express drops students off at the beginning of each school year
