YEAR: 6th
HAIR STYLE/COLOR:
Ginny has a long mane of red hair, which suits her fiery personality. It has natural streaks of brown in it (though it's prominent color is a redish-orange), it hangs just past her shoulders. She often leaves it down, although when she's doing some kind of vigorous work, or is being annoyed by it, Ginny will put it in a ponytail. She recently got side bangs that hang untouched on the side's of her forehead, because Gin is too lazy to style them most of the time. Her bangs will often be tucked back behind her ear lazily or pulled back, and the style of her hair stays fairly the same unless she is going somewhere fancy; then she will put it in braids, or maybe even an updo. Ginny's hair is no longer layered and wavy, as it was the year before, and she is glad it grew longer and and the bangs are almost no longer a bother.
EYE COLOR/APPEARANCE:
Ginny has very warm eyes. They are a soft brown color, and they conflict with her otherwise very fiery hair. Everyone says she got her mother's eyes, but they are a bit lighter than Molly's. She has almond shaped eyes. Her brothers are different than her in this sense, for most of them have blue eyes like her father. Ginny's eyebrows hang low in a permenant sophisticated look. They are thin and rather low-lying, and are a more brownish color than her hair. Although eyebrow waxing and styling is popular with girls nowadays, Ginny doesn't bother to do such things. They are a waste of time and money. Who cares about eyebrows anyway? Also, her eyelashes are long and curly, and surprisingly blonde.
Ginny's face can be described as a heart shape, and somewhat flat. She has pale skin, as the rest of her family, and gets easily sunburned. There are freckles sprinkled across her nose and cheeks, but she has grown accustomed to covering them quite nicely with some muggle makeup. Gin has a small forehead and a small nose. Her eyes are brown and her eyebrows are a brownish-redish color, a little darker than her hair. Her ears are pierced once, and she usually wear little studs (long, dangly things are a bother. But if she needs any, she can always go to Luna). Ginny's teeth are the slightest bit crooked from lack of braces (they are muggle items, after all), but rarely smiles big enough for them to show. When she sets her jaw, she bears a strong resemblance to Fred and George. Ginny was often described as very beautiful in general, despite some minor flaws.
HEIGHT/WEIGHT/BUILD:
Ginny is five feet, two inches, which is considered closer to short than to average. she's closer to her mother in height, since Molly herself is pretty short at about five feet exactly. Ginny isn't taller like her father or Bill, Charlie, and Percy. She's closer in build to Fred and George, and Ron, which would make sense since she's closer in age to those brother (genes and all). Throughout her whole life she has always been referred to as the little one, not just because she is the baby of her family and the youngest of her friends, but actually because she is physically the smallest one. Size doesn't make everything though, since Ginny's a very bold, fiesty person, and a very strong wizard.
Ginny's not the type to be fretting over weight at all. While most girls are eating their one chicken wing and perfectly measured out portions of fruits and vegetables, Ginny will just take and eat what she wants. She loves to eat, and won't worry about how many calories she's consuming. However, she is a tad under average at about 105 pounds because she has a very fast metabolism. Her Quidditch playing burns off many calories as well. She may eat much, but she can't compare to how much Ron eats. Can anyone compare to how much he eats?
Ginny has a somewhat average build, but is slightly more slender and muscular. She is on the small side, being only about five feet, two inches and one hundred and five pounds. She has a lot of muscle in her arms because of her position as chaser on the Gryffindor quidditch team. People often describe her as the "little one." Her mother often has a hard time making/ fixing her clothing because she is so small and has a rather unique build. In muggle terms, Ginny would only wear size 1 jeans and small t-shirts, but her arms are muscled, so they are a tad larger. She doesn't have much of an, ehem, chest yet, because she's just a little too young for that to be developed very well yet. Her shoulders are slightly broad, and her neck is long and slender. A size seven is what Ginny's feet are.
DISTINGUISHING MARKS:
Her most distinguishing feature is her bright red hair, as it is for all of her family. You can spot her in a crowd very easily. Red hair is often a sign for a Weasley, as pointed out by Draco Malfoy and others. Her personality is also very distinguishing, because you wouldn't expect a small, innocent looking thing like her to be so bold, independent, and outgoing. Most would be surprised to see her real personality if they had only made assumptions about her from afar.
CLOTHING STYLE:
Gin isn't one to dress up all fancy except for a dance or other special occasion. When in school, she wears the typical Gryffindor outfit, a grey pleated skirt with a grey sweater, knee high socks, her red and yellow striped tie, and robe. Outside of school, she dresses very casual. You can usually see her in plain trousers or jeans and a t-shirt or jumper. Her mother likes to make her jumpers (which aren't always fashionable, or wearable, mind you). It's not uncommon to see her wearing pants which have holes patched up and shirts with a rip fixed with mix-matched thread (when things get too bad to fix is when Ginny gets new clothing). Comfort is more of her style, but she never looks trashy. Ginny is always very "cleaned up", but not always can she be stylish. Her favorite colors are red and blue.

FEARS:
- LORD VOLDEMORT;;
She always has some type of fear in the back of her mind that the Chamber of Secrets incident will repeat itself in some way, shape, or form. Ginny's always on her guard, not wanting to be an easy target again. She will never let herself be as naive as she was in her first year, because she's fairly certain she would not make it out alive if she was possessed again. It was a miracle that she even survived the first time, but we help from the Golden Trio of course. Voldemort is also a threat to the entire wizarding world, and muggle world (seeing how he hates muggles), so if he got in power, the world would turn into a living hell. - DEATH;;
Well, who isn't afraid of death? Ginny isn't afraid of dying when she's old and wrinkly, and but dying a premature death caused by Voldemort would definitely get you scared. No one deserves to die like Cedric Diggory. Now with Voldemort and the Deatheaters rising, there's always fear that something will happen to you. Death by a curse would be painful and quick, but rather...depressing, no? Therefore, Ginny tends to hang out in groups of people, in the back of her mind nervous about being alone, even on Hogwarts grounds. - SPIDERS;;
This irrational fear probably came from Ron. As a child, Ron would always be teased by Fred and George, and once they traumatized Ron with spiders. Ever since, he had been deathly afraid of them, and Ginny had taken a quick disliking to them. They were creepy looking creatures that crawled on you while you were sleeping and do nothing other than eat the small, cute bugs. Well not necessarily cute, but the bugs that don't actually scare you half to death when you see when crawling on you.
DESIRES:
If Ginny looked in the mirror of erised, two things would automatically be seen within it. One, would be that Ginny was a professional Quidditch player on the Holyhead Harpies, standing next to Gwyneth, holding the World cup trophy. The second would be her marriage to Harry Potter, a small ceremony with just close friends and family. Ginny's aspirations may change slightly as she grows older, but those are the two main things she most desires, and has desired for the longest time.
SECRETS:
"I used tot ake my brother's brooms out of the shed in the garden late and night and ride them in turns. I was only about five when I started this. Everyone kept telling me I was too young to fly a brooma nd it was too dangerous, but I showed them!"
PATRONUS:
HORSE;;
Ginny's patronus takes the form of a horse, a strong, graceful creature. The horse reflects Ginny's personality very well, considering Ginny looks small and gentle but has a very strong side to her as well. The memory that conjures the patronus is taking out her brother's brooms for rides whens he was six. They first time she got on a broom and flew in the air was a special moment for her, and something she'll never forget. Any Quidditch victories with her scoring the winning goal and/or catching the snitch will also conjure the horse, but the memory of her first riding the broom is the strongest.Kissing Harry Potter for the first time will congure the strongest patrnus; she got considerably stronger at this charm after this event in her 5th year.
SEXUALITY:
As heterosexual as can be. Ginny's had three boyfriends throughout her times at Hogwarts. Michael, the crybaby, Dean, the one that...well, just wasn't Harry, and then Harry himself.
LIKES:
- QUIDDITCH;;
Quidditch has always been a fun pastime for Ginny. She fell in love with the idea of flying when she was very little, and always wanted to try it out. When she was six, she started taking each of her brothers' brooms out of the shed and began riding them in turns. It was during these secret little sessions where she really developed an aptitude and love for the game, and was more than excited to be able to watch when she went to Hogwarts. When Ginny was accepted into the Gryffindor Quidditch team this year, she was thrilled. She had always wanted to be chaser, because they were the ones who got all the action and scored the goals. Her love for the game is so strong that Ginny is working towards being a professional Quidditch player when she gets older, preferably on the Holyhead Harpies. - FAMILY;;
This one is a given for just about everyone. Ginny grew up in a poor, yet close-knit family. She was the youngest of seven children, and also the only girl. Having six older brothers toughened her up, but also exposed her to much love and care. Her mum and dad always treated everyone kindly and fairly, and her brothers were all great (except for Percy occasionally, but he was always a little different from the other siblings). The close bond Ginny formed with her family makes her very protective over them; she would do anything for her brothers and parents, and vice-versa. To put it in simple terms, she loves them to death. - HARRY POTTER AND HERMIONE GRANGER;;
Ginny has known them both since she was ten. From the first time she met Harry, she had an embarrassingly strong crush on him. This would cause her to act silly, and completely out of character. Now they are good friends, and Ginny's crush on him seems to be fading a little bit, because of all the distress and disaster in the wizarding world. Hermione Granger is her best girl mate, who she loves to gossip with. She can trust Hermione with anything, and it was just a few years ago that they really sealed there friendship. Life would be dull without either of them. - CHARMS AND DADA;;
Who doesn't like a good charm here and there? Ginny loves this class and all the fun magic that comes out of it. Her liking for the class shows in her grades, which are always at least Exceeds Expectations. Dada is also one of her favorite classes, for it's always fun to learn offensive and defensive spells. Combat is very important to Ginny since she wants to be a good dueler. It was her favorite class until the pink toad showed up and ruined it with book work. Her grade as dropped from Exceeds Expectations to Acceptable this year, and Ginny is certainly not happy about it. - THE TWINS' PRANKS;;
Well, they most certainly are amusing. Ginny grew up with bangs and explosions coming from the room above hers, Fred and George's room. Ever since she could remember, the two of them were pulling crazy stunts. She loves watching what they create, and what they use on who. The only thing that is annoying is when they try out one of their new products on her. - BEATING HER BROTHERS IN QUIDDITCH;;
Because it's fun to watch them question how she got so good at the game so quickly. Little Ginny isn't so little or innocent when she knocks Fred off his broom in an attempt to score a goal. She's ruthless when playing, and loves bragging a little bit about the impressive things she does during their little family games. But Ginny's a sweet girl, really. Quidditch just brings out the competitive side in her. - HOGWARTS;;
Unlike any Muggle, she actually enjoys going to school. You can only take so much of the Burrow. Hogwarts is where all of her friends are, and it's also where she can play Quidditch on a true Quidditch Pitch, and not just in her yard. All of that beats out the fact that there are always exams around the corner and teachers being pricks.She's very good in school except for potions and herbology, however, so even exams don't pose much of a bother to her. - BOYS;;
Well, she is a teenage girl with hormones, what do you expect? Several boys have fancied Ginny, but she's only had three boyfriends so far, and those are Michael Corner, Dean Thomas, and Harry Potter. Her brothers aren't particularily pleased at the fact that she has started dating, and would much rather have her stay single forever. Or become a nun. Therefore, she makes it extra certain to mention her boyfriend in front of all of them whenever she can. Even dad is nervous about Ginny dating. At least Mum's happy for her, at least Ginny thinks she is. - MUGGLE WORLD AND PRODUCTS;;
Since her father works as head of Muggle Affairs at the Ministry, Ginny has learned quite a lot about the Muggle World. She thinks, overall, the muggle world is amusing, and a lot harder to deal with than the magical world. She can often get her hands on muggle products, such as makeup (which she doesn't use so often), and muggle foods such as soda and potato chips. Ginny was actually a tad scared of her father's muggle car, because when she was little it looked like it had a face on the front of it. She often wonders how Hermione and Harry could live in the muggle world, since there is no magic to do absolutely anything.
DISLIKES:
- DEATHEATERS;;
These masked men and women are part of the problems that plague the wizarding world today. Voldemort would be weaker without them, and they are perhaps just as ruthless as Voldemort himself. They are the ultimate enemies of the Order of the Phoenix, which Ginny's parents are members of, and what Ginny has allied with. They are nothing but pure evil, and need to be taken down in one form or another. - PRANKS PULLED ON HER;;
Ginny would rather not have a puking pastille in her food, but really, that's just her. Fred and George don't often target their little sister for pranks for several reasons. One, mum would kill them. Two, she is their only, and youngest sister. Three, Ron is an easier target. Four, Ginny will get very, very mad, and very, very annoyed. But once in awhile those two will do something to her, but she'll make sure they most certainly regret it. It's a viscous cycle, really. - PERCY'S ATTITUDE;;
Percy is the different Weasley. He's the book smart one that thinks he better than everyone else. He's also downright rude and uncaring sometimes. Ginny can't stand this. Her and Percy have not gotten along with each other (they disagree on everything) since Ginny was old enough to talk. Percy has this same relationship with the other brothers as well. He's also a traitor to the family, and recently moved out because of a very public (and embarrassing) fight in the middle of London. The Weasley residence has been a bit less stressful since, but Mum still wants him back. Deep down inside, so does Ginny. - POTIONS;;
This, most certainly, is not her best subject. Snape is a hard teacher to work with (to say the least) and potions doesn't amuse her one bit. She often glides on the Acceptable line when it comes to grades, but she has gotten lower, sadly. Once Ginny even blew up something in class (which was totally humiliating, and she got a zero on that assignment). She's not very good at memorizing potions ingredients and what ingredients to put in which potions. She too busy thinking about how Snape's hair is so greasy and he should wash it more often. The worst of luck, Ginny has in that class too, as Lavender Brown once spilled ink on her textbook, destroying it, and making her pay for a new one. - DRACO MALFOY;;
Draco Malfoy is a bloody twit. He's rude, incompetent, foul, and overall just a piece of scum. Malfoy slipped Tom Riddle's diary into her bag, which caused the whole Chamber of Secrets incident, ultimately. He hates Harry and Hermione and Ron, which automatically makes Ginny hate him, but she also has her own reasons for not liking him. First of all, he plays dirty when it comes to Quidditch, almost knocking Ginny off her broom more than one time. Also, he's just rude to EVERYONE. Did I mention that before? Oh yeah. And his father,mother, aunt, uncle, etc are Deatheaters. That certainly doesn't help either. - VOLDEMORT;;
For obvious reasons, Ginny is not fond of Voldemort. She has her own personal reasons for fearing/ hating him as well. Voldemort possessed her during her first year. While possessed, Voldemort (at the time Tom Riddle), made Ginny petrify students, write threatening messages in blood, and open the Chamber of Secrets. After she did all of this, he used her as bait for get Harry Potter, by almost killing her. Therefore, they don't have such a lovely relationship. - CHO CHANG;;
Cho Chang is a bloody airhead. All she does is flirt and look stupid. Ginny has no simpathy for her boyfriend's death since she immediately took a liking to Harry right afterwards. It's much too soon from moving on from such a thing, isn't it? Also, she's the Ravenclaw Quidditch seeker, so she's competition when it comes to that too. That girl is just bloody awful, being competition in two completely different things. - ABSENSES OF HER OLDER BROTHERS;;
Bill and Charlie are great brothers, but she never gets to see them anyone. They're all grown up at 25, and 23 years old. Bill is off as a Curse Breaker, which is a very important job, and Bill has been off for years in Romania working with dragons. The family doesn't feel united without them around anymore. - FLEUR AND GABRIELLE DELACOUR;;
Ginny finds these two absolutely annoying, especially Fleur, or shall I say Phlegm. Fleur is a stuck up woman who knows she's pretty and knows when to use it to her advantage. Bill shouldn't be going out with such a woman. Or not even a woman, Fleur is 7 years younger than he! She is closer to Ginny's age than Bill's. Fleur's accent is also very thick and strange, hence the nickname Phlegm. Gabrielle has a tendency to flirt with Harry which is bloody annoying. They're veela, and they know it.
FAVORITE CLASS: Easily Defense Against the Dark Arts. IT is her favorite subject as well.
OVERALL PERSONALITY:
Ginny is an independent girl who often spoke her mind. She isn't one to be pushed around or mocked. she has an energetic, lively personality. This only changed in the first few years of knowing Harry Potter; she had a huge crush on harry and became shy, and nervous around him. Eventually, she relaxed and acted like her usual self, which was when Harry finally started noticing her in her sixth year. One of the traits Harry was attracted to was that Ginny rarely rarely got weepy, and stayed strong no matter what. This was shown when she broke her ankle in the Ministry of Magic, and then refused help, saying that 'it's just my ankle!". Ginny also had a knack for imitating the mannerisms of others very accurately, much to the amusement of those around her.
Growing up with six older brothers toughened her up, and Ginny was not afraid to stand up to anybody. She even stood up to Draco Malfoy when he bothered Harry. She was even known to stand up to Hermione, in defense of Harry's use of the Sectumsempra spell. Also, she was often harsh towards those whom she disliked. She disliked Fleur Delacour, whom she thought was snooty and self centered, and constantly called her names and made fun of her, not to mention she also hexed and crashed into Zacharias Smith when he irritated her during her fifth year. She can even be harsh to her friends and family if she's mad enough. Much of the time she can just seem harsh because she's so bold and doesn't sugar coat things. She'll tell you what she thinks, which may be things that other people would never dare to say out loud.
Ginny was also an accomplished flier and made the Gryffindor house team in her fourth and fifth years, playing chaser (so far). She didn't seem to brag about many things, even when she got Harry's seeker spot on the team in her fourth year. Ginny once commented that she had gotten the snitch, but Harry could have gotten it faster. Even when she won the house cup by catching the snitch, she hardly bragged. She was fancied by a lot of boys. Her brothers often thought that she was too popular for her own good, and often commented on how she was too young for a boyfriend and whatnot. She was also known to be quick-witted and funny and could often make others laugh even when they were feeling down, much like Fred and George.
Ginny was also good at lying and capable of being opaque when necessary. During the first meeting of what would become the D.A. in the Hog's Head, she coughed exactly like Professor Umbridge, scaring those gathered into believing the real Umbridge had caught them. Her acting talents were put to good use later when Harry and Hermione broke into Umbridge's office to contact Sirius through the fireplace. She was also clever in the sense that Ginny had come up with the name for Dumbledore's Army, which hid the true meaning behind the meetings.

OVERALL HISTORY:
Ginny Weasley was born on August 11, 1981 to Molly Weasley nee Prewett and Arthur Weasley. She was the youngest of all her siblings, and also the only girl. She has six older brothers, to whom she is very close to. Gin brothers are Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred, George, and Ron. Ginny grew up in the Burrow in Devon, England in a large, lopsided home. She was born into a fairly happy home and lived a happy life as a toddler. Ginny was very close to Ron when they were younger, being the two youngest in the house. Ginny got along extremely well with Fred and George because of their fun attitude and brotherly protectiveness over Ginny, but never could stand Percy (he was never very nice to her). She didn't get to see too much of Charlie and Bill because of the age difference. By the time she could fully acknowledge who they were, they were gone off most of the year at Hogwarts. As time went by, she was immensely jealous as one by one, each of her brothers went off to attend Hogwarts, while she was stuck at home with her mum. Of course she loved her mother, but she got a little overbearing sometimes. Ginny was glad Ron was there most of the time to play with, that was, until the summer Ginny turned ten.
Ginny was a very independent, stubborn child. When she wanted to do something, she would do it. One example of this was when her mum said she was too young to fly a broom, she would sneak her brother's brooms out of the shed in turns and ride them. This went on since she was six, up until she went off to Hogwarts. This contributed to her amazing ability to play Quidditch. During her Hogwarts years, she was both an accomplished chaser and seeker for the Gryffindor team. Quidditch ran in the family, considering her parents and all her brothers except Percy had played the game at one point or another. Ginny had a love for the game that her other brothers did not, and was determined to do something with it in her life, not just for recreation.
When she turned 11, she obtained her Hogwarts acceptance letter, and was more than excited to be attending. Ginny left with her brothers Ron, Fred, George, and Percy, and Harry Potter, who were all Gryffindor. Ginny hoped to be Gryffindor just like them; and her wishes were granted, as the sorting hat placed her into Gryffindor. Ginny is courageous, brave, and loyal as the rest of her family. The whole Weasley family was now Gryffindor, what an accomplishment! However, Ginny's first year was anything but a smooth ride. Sure, she was a pretty popular first year and she was doing fine in all of her classes, but she was in grave danger from the first day of school. Draco Malfoy had slipped a diary into her bag, which just so happened to be Tom Riddle's diary. Tom Riddle, who was formerly known as Voldemort. She wasn't aware of the dark magic the book contained and wrote in it about her little 11 year old problems. She didn't think twice of the book responding to her, thinking her mother had charmed it for her.
Eventually, she started having these forgetful spells. Ginny couldn't remember where she was or what she was doing for a certain period of time. She finally realized that the diary was causing these events, and knew it was something bad. She flushed the book down the toilet only for Harry Potter to obtain the book later and have the curious events continue. Tom Riddle made Ginny do terrible things such as petrify students and write blood on the walls of the school. Ginny was never aware that she was doing this, however. It was the last straw when Tom Riddle finally left Ginny in the Chamber of Secrets to die, which is exactly what would have happened if Harry Potter wasn't there to save her. Harry destroyed the diary and she was saved. Too bad the rest of her years so far at Hogwarts hadn't been that interesting.
In her second year, Ginny traveled to Egypt with her family before school started. Her father won a trip, so he took all of them. It was the first time Ginny had ever been out of the country, and loved it. Later, when she was on the train to Hogwarts, she got separated from her brothers because of dementors. Gin found her way to the compartment with the Trio and Lupin, but when the dementors came, she was the most shaken up because of the Chamber of Secrets incident. The rest of the year wasn't too exciting, except for when she embarrassed herself by giving Harry a singing card when he was in the hospital wing.
Ginny's third year was slightly more interesting, because of the Triwizard Tournament, and the Quidditch World Cup. During this year is when she solidified her friendship with Hermione as well. At the Quidditch World Cup, she had a jolly time until the Deatheaters came and destroyed the place. She got to watch Harry and the others compete in the Triwizard Tournament, which was grand until the final task, in which Voldemort returned and Cedric Diggory was murdered. Also, Ginny even got to go to the Yule Ball with her best friend Neville Longbottom, despite only being a third year. IT was at the end of this year that she also met Michael Corner, and started dating him. The events of that year came to a sad close when Cedric Diggory passed away.
This year, she had spent the summer at 12 Grimmauld Place, where the Order could discuss the return of Voldemort. There, she met Sirius Black, Harry's godfather, and took a liking to him. She also met Nymphadora Tonks, and became like a younger sister to Tonks as well. Since she was young, her mother made her miss out on several Order meetings, particularly one about Sirius filling in everyone about the Order and Voldemort. Hermione told her everything about the meeting later, however. When Harry was acquitted at his hearing for using magic in front of a Muggle while under age, she was extremely pleased and sang and danced with Fred and George. She spent the rest of the summer there, finally relaxing around Harry, and even sitting with him, Neville, and Luna on the train ride to Hogwarts.
She introduced Neville and Harry to Luna, though they were at first a little frightened by her strange appearance. After assuring the two that she was nice, and completely harmless, Ginny and the others sat with her, sharing a few chuckles with the two guys while Luna acted, well, like herself. It was also during the ride where Neville's plan exploded gunk all over them, to which Ginny cleaned it up using a scourgify spell. Ginny joined the Trio with a study group for DADA after meeting Umbridge. She brought a few of her friends and eventually they formed Dumbledore's army, to which Ginny came up with the name. In these meetings, it was shown that Ginny had considerable power with the Reductor Curse, and was also swift with Disarming charms (which made her brothers jealous and Harry highly impressed).
Later in the year, when Harry, Fred, and George were banned from playing Quidditch, Ginny tried out for Seeker and got the position. She was a fairly good seeker, but preferred to be a chaser and score goals. A little while after, Ginny and her brothers found out that their father had been injured and went off to visit him in St. Mungos. Ginny railed on Harry for not talking to her about him being possessed, considering she had been possessed by Voldemort as well. She was able to comfort Harry, and in doing so, admitted that she never got over that incident. It was also during Christmas that she found out about Neville's parents and how they had been tortured into insanity.
Harry and Ginny became closer this year, as they were able to talk about their experiences in Quidditch and with Voldemort. In the library, Ginny and Harry talked and ate chocolate eggs, until chased out by Madame Pince, being hit over the head with their bags on the way out. She got Fred and George to find Harry a way to communicate with Sirius. She wont the Hogwarts House Cup when she caught the snitch right out from under Cho Chang's nose. After this is when things started to get very difficult.
After Harry had a vision about Sirius being tortured, he started formulating a plan to save him. Ginny, after being rudely accosted by Harry, decided that she and Luna would help with whatever he needed. So when Harry and Hermione where breaking into Umbridge's office, Ginny blocked off the corridor to her office, saying that someone had leaked Garrotting Gas. Umbridge knew better and soon, her and the others were taken in by the Inquisitorial squad, Ginny specifically taken in by Warrington, who she constantly tried kicking that shins of and stepping on the feet of while restrained. Neville, who tried to help Ginny, was therefore stuck in this mess, and was taken in as well. When Harry and Hermione went off to the Forbidden Forest in an attempt to fool Umbridge, Ginny and the others broke free, and were able to escape right after she used a Bat-Bogey hex on Draco Malfoy.
All six rode threstrals to London, Ginny a little unnerved by the fact that she was riding on a beast that she could not see. They went to the Hall of Preophecies, not finding Sirius, but finding Harry and Voldemort's prophecy. The group was then surrounded in Deatheaters. Bellatrix threatened Ginny with torture (the Cruciatus Curse) to get Harry to hand over the prophecy. at the same time, they all used a Reducto and ran for it, Ginny ending up with her brother Ron and Luna, and separated from Neville, Hermione, and Harry. They were chased in a room of planets, and a Deatheater grabbed Ginny's ankle, breaking it. Ginny was in shock and pain, and wasn't able to fight much afterwards. She was also hit with a stunning spell after yelling for someone to do something about Ron,w ho was being constricted by brains.
The Order of the Phoenix came just in time and saved them all, though none of them were in good condition. Ginny's ankle was broken, Ron had welts from the constriction, Hermione was hit by a curse that had knocked her out most of the battle, Luna was moaning on the floor in pain, and Neville had been tortured with the Cruciatus Curse. Ginny was lucky enough to be fixed in a trice by Madame Pomfrey, as were Luna, Harry, Ron, and Neville, but Hermione was not so lucky. Ginny visited her in the hospital wing daily until she was cured. The year was definitely a different one, also in that fact that Fred and George just flew out of the school (which Ginny was very proud of) and started a joke shop like they always wanted. Ginny had even started dating Dean Thomas, much to Ron's horror.
Her 5th year was one of more excitements.Before going to Hogwarts, Ginny got her first pet, a pygmy puff named Arnold fromn her brothers' shop. Also, she tried out and successfully obtained the position of chaser on the Gryffindor Quidditch team. As other years, she boarded the Hogwart's Express with her friends and other family members, but sat this time with Dean Thomas, her new boyfriend. Zacharias Smith,a rather bothersome young gentleman from Hufflepuff kept questioning her about the Ministry events of last year to the point of Ginny using the bat-bogey hex on him. Professor Slughorn caught her doing so, but instead of getting detention as she thought, Slughorn invited her to the Slug Club, thoroughly impressed by the hex. This year seemed to be a good one.
Dean and Thomas were caught kissing by Ron and Harry, which wouldn't have been such a big deal if Ron didn't have a commotion over it. Ginny and Ron got into such a horrible fight that Ron tried shooting a curse at her, and Ginny left in tears; the red head was almost never reduced to tears. This left the two siblings in a frosty relationship for the majority of the year. Zacharias Smith was only adding to the drama by being rude; especially in his commentator position. Ginny flew into the commentator box when Smith had made rude remarks about the Gryffindor team. When Ron became a hypocrite and started going out and snogging Lavender Brown in public was when she became most furious with her brother, and would barely speak to him for much of the year. They only forgave each other when Ron was accidentally poisoned.
Cormac McLaggen hit Harry in the head with a bludger, giving hima fractured scull. Ginny was furious not only at Cormac, but also at Dean, who had laughed at the situation. After a fight with Dean, she went to visit Harry in the hospital wing. Several months later, while their relationship was still rocky, they finally broke up when Ginny accused Dean of helping her through the portrait door, when it was really Harry's luck of Felix Felicis. Ginny's Quidditch was still going well, as she was switched to Seeker to play the last game, which she was able to catch the snitch right out from under Cho's nose and win the game. During post-match celebrations, Ginny and Harry spontaneously kissed, which started up their relationship.
Later, she fought in the Battle of the Astronomy Tower, duelling Amycus Carrow, and nearly avoiding a cruciatus curse because of Felix Felicis. Soon after, Ginny discovered her brother Bill was badly scarred by Fenrir Greyback. It was also during this time where she finally accepted her brother's relationship with Fleur. Despite all of the madness, Ginny was able to take her OWLs and obtain high marks, and attend Dumbledore's funeral. Harry broke up with her later this year so she would not become a target of Voldemort and the Deatheaters. She accepted his decision, knowingit was the best for both of them.
Her sixth year was a time of horrors and eventually happiness. During the first operation of the Order of the Phoenix, she was relieved to see Harry come to the Burrow in one piece, though was shocked when George came back, having an ear cut off by a sectumsempra spell. Ginny helped tend to her injured brother. After that she steered clear of Harry until his birthday. Instead of getting him a material present (nothing she could give him would be small enough to carry around while looking for Horcruxes), she kissed him like she had never kissed him before. Ron and Hermione interrupted this, obviously disproving of the situation.
She served as a bridesmaid at her brother Bill's wedding. This was a happy event until word of the Minister's death came about. Ginny soon after went back to Hogwarts, which was completely taken over by Deatheaters. Her sixth year would sure be the most interesting, and perhaps most devastating of all her years at Hogwarts.
